Raleigh Birth Photography | This little guy is about to turn one! Attending this birth was so much fun. They had kept the gender a surprise - those are the best! Mom is a youtube personality and had been posting weekly videos about her pregnancy and anticipation for her birth. Her husband was filming the birth while I photographed it. Once Mama's water was broken - Mr Kylan made his arrival minutes later!! Moms reaction to having her baby in her arms was priceless. A look of sheer accomplishment, joy and surprise! It was a BOY - mom had figured all along.After mom and dad had some time to bond - we did an Herbal Bath session. Mom got into the tub with Kylan to bathe in a tub of warm herb infused water. There are many benefits to this - this helps heal mom but its great for baby's skin and a wonderful way to continue to bond with baby. When mom would hold Kylan so that his ears were under the water he was instantly relaxed. He was hearing the world through the water like he had for so many months inside mom. What a beautiful thing to witness | A true water baby!
