UNC Birth Photography | Cesarean | Jameson

UNC Birth Photography | I met Frances in her 3rd trimester and they were so excited to meet and welcome their first baby. They gender was a surprise so the anticipation was high. Mama made it to 42 weeks and went into labor. She had planned a Birth Center birth and spent many many hours laboring there. Her doula, Betsy, was an amazing help and strength as her and her husband navigated the unknown waters of labor and birth. She was transferred to UNC during her labor and ultimately ended up with a C-Section. I was able to go back and visit them to meet and photograph their 11lb 2oz baby BOY! I love how their story is portrayed through two different sessions.Sometimes birth doesn't go the way that has been planned - but I will be there to capture it all; as much as I can. In this case, I photographed hours of labor. I transferred to the hospital with them but was not allowed in the operating room. This couple opted for me to come back the next day, after they had rest and showers, to photograph their new family (a fresh48 session approach). Enjoy!
